Board of DirectorsYBHG DATO’ IDROSE BIN MOHAMED ChairmanDato’ Idrose bin Mohamed a Civil Engineer, was appointed as Group Managing Director of Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) on 1 October 2008. He started his career with the Public Works Department in 1978. In 1983, he joined the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) as a Civil Engineer and then served in various positions and was involved in the development of expressways. He was appointed as MHA’s Northern Region Director in November 1991, a position he held prior to leaving the Government service to join UEM Group Berhad in August, 1994. In UEM he was appointed as Head of Engineering and Operations for the North-South Expressway Central Link (NSECL) project. From October 1996 to June 1999 he was the Managing Director of Expressway Lingkaran Tengah Sdn Bhd (ELITE), the concessionaire of NSECL. In July 1999, he became the Managing Director of Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad (PLUS). Subsequently, he was appointed as Managing Director of PLUS Expressways Berhad (PEB) prior to its listing in July 2002. After almost 8 years in PLUS/PEB he left to join Pos Malaysia Berhad (PMB) as its Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer in April 2007. He resigned from PMB in May 2008. He then rejoined UEM Group Berhad as Senior Director until October 2008 when he was appointed as Group Managing Director of Prasarana. Dato’ Idrose holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). YBHG DATO’ SULAIMAN BIN IBERAHIM Director Dato’ Sulaiman bin Iberahim was a former Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Officer. He has served more than thirty two (32) years and has been attached to various Ministries and Departments such as Ministry of Education, Ministry of Federal Territory and Prime Minister's Department. He has also served in the state administration of Pahang and Perak. Prior to retiring from government service, he took on the post of Federal Secretary of Sabah in the Prime Minister’s Department. Dato' Sulaiman also currently holds directorships for Amanah Raya Unit Trust Management Sdn Bhd, Dispetch Resources Sdn Bhd and Awan Aggun Sdn Bhd. He graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur with B.A.(Hons) in 1972.
MR CHIN KWAI YOONG Director Mr Chin Kwai Yoong joined the Board of RapidKL in January 2005. He was an audit partner in a leading accounting firm from 1982 until his retirement in 2003. During his tenure as partner, he was Executive Director in charge of the Consumer & Industrial Products & Services Division, and of the Management Consulting Services Division. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He has extensive experience in the audits of major companies in the banking, oil & gas and automobile industries as well as in the heavy equipment, manufacturing, construction and property development sectors. He was also involved in corporate advisory services covering investigations, mergers and acquisitions and share valuations. He is a Director of Deleum Bhd, Genting Berhad and Astro All Asia Networks Plc.
TUAN SYED HUSSAIN BIN SYED HAMZAH DirectorSyed Hussain, is a graduate of Brighton College of Technology (UK) and has vast experience in the telecommunication industry. He began his career with Jabatan Telekom Malaysia (now Telekom Malaysia Berhad) when he joined Government service in 1967 as Assistant Manager, Switching Section. Syed Hussiain holds numerous positions in Jabatan Telekom Malaysia including as Deputy General Manager, Central Region, then General Manager, Northern Region and Eastern Region and subsequently as General Manager, Network Fundamental Planning. In 1997, Syed Hussain was appointed Chief Network Technology until his retirement in December 1998. He was re-employed by Telekom Malaysia Berhad as the Technical Advisor, Netwotk Group and Regulatory in 1999 until January 2002. In October 2002, Syed Hussain joined Telkom South Africa as Senior Manager (Fixed Interconnect) and in 2004 he re-joined Telekom Malaysia Berhad to become Technical Advisor, Regulatory. At present, Syed Hussain is also a Director of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad.
