SUFFIAN BAHARUDDIN
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Suffian, 38, who has made his mark as a financial and business strategist, is an accountant by profession and a graduate of University of East Anglia (UK). He began his career in the field of merchant banking when he joined Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad in 1994. In 1996 Suffian moved to Renong Berhad as a Senior Manager in the Finance Division.
In 1999, he joined the transportation industry as a Senior Manager in Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) where he later held the position of General Manager of Finance. During his stint in MAHB, Suffian handled all matters related to the financial and commercial management and the business development of the Group which includes 11 subsidiaries.
He moved to a more challenging position when he moved to Indah Water Konsortium as General Manager of Corporate Planning in 2006. Here he was involved in the formulation of strategic business plans for the company for the migration to the new regulatory and licensing regime for the water service industry and the proposed integration of water services and wastewater services.
Suffian is also a Vice-Chairman representing Malaysia of the International Association of Public Transport’s (UITP) Asia Pacific Division.

NOR HASSAN ISMAIL
Chief Operating Officer (RAIL)
Nor Hassan Ismail, 53, has more than 26 years of working experience in the Electrical, Telecommunications and Public Transport Construction & Operations industries.
He has vast experience in the Electrical and Telecommunication sector having served major agencies which include government agencies, major telecommunication contractors and later, a Project Management Company (PL), managing the Electrical and Telecommunication Works of the North-South Expressway for PLUS Berhad.
Having been involved in the PUTRA LRT Project since its design and construction stages in1995, Nor Hassan was involved in all Systems works contracts (Electrical & Mechanical) and the Automatic Fare Collection contract. In 1998, he became the Senior General Manager, Operations and was fully responsible for the Operation and Maintenance activities for the PUTRA LRT system.
Upon the establishment of Rapid KL in 2005, Nor Hassan assumed the role of Senior General Manager Rail Engineering for both the Kelana Jaya and Ampang / Sri Petaling lines, and is now the Chief Operating Officer for the Rail Strategic Business Unit, responsible for all LRT services of RapidKL.

SHAHRIL MOKHTAR
General Manager – Corporate Planning & Strategy Division
Shahril, 36, graduated from the University of Missouri, USA with a degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and subsequently obtained his Masters degree in Management from University Malaya.
He has more than 13 years of experience in human resource, corporate communications and strategic planning which he gained from working with local and multinational companies. Prior to joining RapidKL, he was the General Manager, Corporate Services of Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (parent company of Malaysia Airlines). He also had stints with Maybank, British American Tobacco and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He attended the Executive Education Program at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and also certified personnel in behavioural profiling such as Harrison Innerview, Thomas DiSC and Occupational Personality Questionaire.

EBI AZLY ABDULLAH
General Manager - Communications
The established Communications Division is now headed by Ebi Azly Abdullah, 36, as Head of the new Communications Divisions. Ebi brings 15 years of communications experience acquired from his involvement in the transportation industry, government and media sector.
He started his career as a journalist with the NSTP Group in 1992, and joined the Prime Minister's Department in 2000 as a Communication Officer with the National Economic Action Council, specialising in strategic media relations management.
In 2003, he became the Corporate Communications Manager for Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the MASKargo communications strategy and initiatives, internally and externally. He was also responsible for the promotion of MASkargo’s branding, image, products and services as well as media and issue management.
He joined RapidKL on 3rd March 2008.

SITI SHARIFAH ZAHRAH
General Manager – Human Capital
Siti Sharifah Zahrah, 47, graduated with a Diploma in Banking Studies from Universiti Teknologi MARA and BBA (Hon.) majoring in Finance from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia before pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales, Cardiff, where she was awarded the Best Student for her MBA program.
She has more than 20 years working experience in various industries (Central Bank, Automotive, Semiconductor, Information Technology, Construction and Transportation) and in various roles namely HR leader and coach, Consultant, Board member and Seminar/Conference speaker. Her experience in HR encompasses Corporate Governance, Organizational Design, HR Reengineering, Policy Development, Competency Development, Career Planning and Development, Values Management and Manpower Planning (including Voluntary Separation Exercise).
Her interest to interact with different types of people led her to change her career to Human Resource Management (HRM). In 1995, she was chosen to be in the task force for the change management efforts by the bank, facilitated by PA Consulting, Australia. She is also certified in behavioral profiling such as Harrison Innerview and a certified Targeted Selection Administrator (competency selection system by Development Dimension Inc).

ZOOLINA BINTI MOHD NAIM
Senior General Manager – Bus Operations
Zoolina Mohd Naim, 46, joined RapidKL in 2005, as the Senior General Manager in Marketing and in 2008, moved on to become the Senior General Manager in Bus Operations.
She has worked for 10 years with the International division of Procter & Gamble, where she had stints in various countries like Hawaii, Singapore, Malaysia, ASEAN & Pacific Island (US) countries, in Sales, Marketing, Recruitment, Training & Organisation Development. Zoolina has then moved on to join Drypers as the Director of Sales & Marketing and Asia & Regional Business Development Director for 5 years prior to joining RapidKL.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration double majoring Marketing & International Business from Southern Illinois University in May 1985, and obtained her Masters of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from Illinois University in Dec 1989. |

MASNIZAM BINTI HISHAM
General Manager – Procurement
Masnizam Hisham, 36, graduated with LLB (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1996. She completed nine months pupilage at Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co. and was called to the Malaysian Bar in September 1997. She was then retained as a legal assistant at Messrs. Shearn Delamore and was promoted as a senior legal assistant in 2002.
In 2004 she joined SPKB, a holding company with more than 30 subsidiaries, including SPK Sentosa Corporation Berhad, a public listed construction company, as Group Legal Adviser Cum Company Secretary. She has wide range of experience in corporate banking, Islamic financing, commercial law, international joint ventures, shareholder arrangement, real estate and industrial relations. She is also well verse with the regulatory framework of Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, Foreign Investment Committee, Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board and State Authorities. |

S.M.SABRI S.M. ISMAIL
General Manager - Information Technology
S.M.Sabri S.M. Ismail, 48, heads the IT Division tasked to integrate the disparate IT Systems used by the predecessor companies to RapidKL (Putra & Star LRT systems and Intrakota & Parkmay Bus systems). Substantially completed integration includes having a single corporate LAN/WAN, common Ticketing systems that uses of Touch'n Go contactless card system, single procurement/maintenance system and single finance system. Other projects includes having a single email messaging system and HRMPS system.
He has over 20 years experience in IT in Construction and Transportation. He was trained as a civil engineer and holds an MSc in IT in Property and Construction. Before joining RapidKL, he has worked with Public Works Dept (JKR) and Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd. |

MUSTAPHA KAMIL BIN YAAKUB
General Manager - Security, Safety and Health
Mustapha Kamil Yaakub, 56, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics from University of Malaya in 1975. He started career as the Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1978. He had served in various capacity in the Royal Malaysian Police. He joined PUTRA LRT in 1995 and established the security department. In 2007 the Royal Malaysian Police has approved the formation of the Auxiliary Police in RAPID KL. |

AMIRUDDIN BIN MA’ARIS
General Manager - Special Projects
Amiruddin Maaris, 39, graduated with BEng Aerospace Engineering from Kingston University, UK in 1992. He obtained an MSc Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, UK in 1994. He started his career in 1994 with the General Electric Company (GEC) as the Sales & Project Engineer.
Throughout the 15 years working experience, he was involved in many infrastructure projects in general and transportation in particular. He was involved in the Express Rail Link project right from bidding stage and until the operations & maintenance stage. Throughout these years, he was seconded from the shareholders’ setup (TH Technologies SB) to, Concessionaire setup (ERL SB) and to Operations & Maintenance setup (E-MAS SB – a subsidiary of Siemens AG). Other projects include Gemas Army Range PLGPT Phase II, Rubber Tyre Container Gantry Crane for Westport Terminal, and while in RapidKL, introduction of 1000+ new buses for the Klang Valley network and the Line Extension Project. |

ZOHARI BIN SULAIMAN
General Manager - Rail Engineering
Zohari Sulaiman, 51, graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Liverpool, United Kingdom in 1982.
He started his career with KTM Berhad in 1982. He had extensive experience in the maintenance and engineering of railway rolling stocks, plant and workshop machineries for Heavy Rail. In 1995, he joined STAR LRT and involved in system set-up, management of system training, testing and commissioning of the first LRT system in Malaysia.
He joined PUTRA LRT (now known as RAPIDKL) in 1996. Currently, he is a General Manager of Rail Engineering Division responsible for the maintenance of LRT train system, track network system, wayside electrical & electronics system, AFC system, quality assurance and control system including workshop management for both lines. He was also involved in testing, commissioning and final acceptance of the existing fully automatic driverless train system.
En. Zohari had involved more than 26 years in railway maintenance and engineering development activities.
He is a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and Chartered Engineer (C. Eng.) registered with the Engineering Council, UK. He is also a Corporate Member of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia and Corporate Member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution. |

HAIRUDDIN ABDUL WAHAB
General Manager – Commercial Service Division
Hairuddin Abdul Wahab, 39, graduated with a Diploma in Valuation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1990 and later obtained his BSc (Hons) Estate Management from University of Central England in Birmingham U.K. in 1994.
He has 16 years of hands-on working experience in the property industry in the area of Property Management, Property Investment and Portfolio Management, Property Marketing and Property Planning. He is also highly exposed with high valued assets and properties with a large Portfolio from various property sub sector including retail, commercial, office and residential.
He has served in various local and international conglomerates such Caltex Oil (M’sia) Limited, Maxis, Glomac Berhad and Carrefour Malaysia. His last position was Senior Shopping Mall Manager for Carrefour Malaysia managing all Carrefour Shopping Complexes nationwide.

LEONG PENG CHIN
General Manager - Finance
Leong Peng Chin, 51, is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Planners Association of Malaysia. He also holds a MBA (Gen Mgt) with the University of Bath.
In addition to his current appointment as head of Finance covering all areas of Finance, Insurance Services Management and Revenue Control, he has over 28 years of experience in a wide spectrum of businesses. Prior to RapidKL, he headed the Finance divisions of DHL (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (a leading multinational logistic company) George Kent Bhd (a first board manufacturing/infrastructure company with local and overseas businesses), Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (a large privatized national sewerage company), Fraser & Neave Sdn Bhd (a large regional FMCG company). He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he gained valuable indepth experience and exposure to a wide variety of businesses during his 8 years in the Audit, Tax and Consultancy divisions. |
