Provide exact change for bus fares PDF Print E-mail
Petaling Jaya, 02 September 2008 - Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras Sdn Bhd (RapidKL) would like to inform all commuters that RapidKL will strictly enforce the policy of paying the exact change for bus fares.

All drivers have been instructed not to provide change for those who do not have the correct change.

RapidKL General Manager for Communications, Ebi Azly Abdullah, said that although notices were put up on all buses on this ruling for quite some time, certain passengers still have a tendency to give RM10 payments for a trip that cost only RM1.

“Our drivers are not equipped with cash to give them change. When this happens, they scold the driver and the situation becomes unpleasant.

As such we would like to advise passengers to always have small change with them at all time, before they board our buses,” said Ebi in a statement released here, today.

Passengers are advised that if they provide more than what’s required than they will not be given return change.

The bus fare structure is as follows:

  • Tempatan buses (e.g.T222)
  • Utama buses (e.g.U22)
  • Bandar buses (e.g.B111)
 RM1
 RM2
